With October being the awareness month for Kids with specific learning difficulties, CLES extended their support for kids who learn and think differently and their families by shedding the light on its humanitarian initiative, Care by CLES, which has been actively working since October 19 and has helped 8,000 families so far through the distribution of food and hygiene parcels.
Just like every year, October marks the beginning of specific learning disabilities awareness month. About 10% of students suffer from Specific Learning Disabilities —like dyslexia and ADHD. The Lebanese Center for Special Education ( CLES) is dedicated to supporting and shaping the world for students who learn and think differently.
In the middle of the diagnostics center stood an old couple holding hands. Hany’s right arm was shivering due to a major stroke he had earlier on this year and Sally, his wife of 73 years, calmly and lovingly caressed it. Their clothes were old but clean, and their eyes had a million stories to tell, one of which was newfound gratitude to CLES that pledged to cover all their food and hygienic needs for the foreseen future.
